The goal of this project was to create a creature that could realistically exist, based off of reptiles, fish, and amphibians. I was mostly inspired by the king cobra, moray eel, and basilisk lizard. Using the different features from these animals, I aimed to make a creature that could theoretically be the inspiration for ancient legends about sea monsters. The name “Vatdreki” is a combination of the two old Norse words “vatn” and “dreki” , meaning water dragon.
